2 Juveniles Charged After Fight In Beman Middle School: Middletown PD
Both juveniles are going before the juvenile review board.
MIDDLETOWN, CT – Middletown police said two juveniles were charged earlier this week after a fight broke out at Beman Middle School on Monday.
Erik Costa, Middletown Chief of Police, said no serious injuries resulted from the middle school fight.
“We are working with the school and the administration to provide recourses and support them through this time,” he said.

Costa said their goal is not to arrest young people; the juveniles are going to the juvenile review board.
The review board is focused on referring juvenile offenders to a network of community-based
agencies providing various services such as anger management, family counseling, and others, and they collaborate with the local school system for tutoring, special education and truancy prevention.

“We are going to provide them with support and hopefully get them through this time and work together as a strong city that we are to get through this,” he said.
Middletown Public Schools could not be reached for comment.
