Cromwell, Middletown Cops Nab Wanted Man In Truck Cab After Wild Parking Lot Scene
Officers from Cromwell and Middletown teamed up to stop a wayward truck cab driven by a wanted man over the weekend.

CROMWELL, CT — Officers from Cromwell and Middletown teamed up to stop a wayward truck cab driven by a wanted man over the weekend.
According to Cromwell police, at 2:21 a.m. Saturday, officers tried to stop a 2006 Kenworth truck being driven by 43-year-old David Dasilva, who was familiar to them because of an active felony warrant.
When Dasilva finally pulled over in a parking lot, with Middletown officers now assisting, he refused to follow the law enforcement commands and started to again elude them by driving at them and erratically in the lot, according to an incident report.

He caused extensive damage top the lot, according to an inident report.
Officers were eventually able to "disable" the truck and take Dasilva into custody, according to an incident report.

He has been charged with:
- Interfering with police
- Second-degree breach of peace
- First-degree reckless endangerment
- First-degree criminal mischief
- Weapons in a motor vehicle
- The use of drug paraphernalia
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Failure to display a marker plate
- Failure to obey the signal of an officer
- Driving an unregistered vehicle
- Insufficient insurance
- Driving while under suspension
- Operating a commercial vehicle without a license
- Reckless driving
- Theft of a stolen. marker plate
