Fire Breaks Out In Middletown Industrial Building
Firefighters made quick work of a potentially tricky incident Tuesday morning at a Middletown industrial property.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A fire broke out in an industrial section of Middletown Tuesday morning.
The incident at 150 Industrial Park Road broke out at about 7:30 a.m.
When they first arrived at the scene, Westfield fire crews encountered smoke and fire from a piece of machinery, officials said. Unites from the Middletown, South District, Cromwell, Middlefield and East Berlin were called in for mutual aid.

The fire was quickly extinguished but as smoke started to clear from the large manufacturing building, a fire in the roof was detected and extinguished, Westfield officials said.
The scene was under control by about 8:15 a.m., Westfield officials said.

The Westfield fire marshal was at the property investigating the cause.
