Hartford Health Care Opens New Urgent Care Center In Cromwell

The new center in Cromwell is the first Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth center to open in Middlesex County, along with Old Saybrook.

CROMWELL, CT — Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care Thursday opened a new center in Cromwell.

The new center is the first Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth center to open in Middlesex County, along with Old Saybrook, which also opened Thursday.

"Providing convenient healthcare access keeps residents safe and healthy," said Dr. Eric Walsh, the medical director for Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care. "Opening two new centers in Middlesex County gives residents a direct link to Hartford HealthCare’s extensive network of high-quality care. We are proud to now have 29 conveniently located centers across Connecticut and continue to expand access to our services."

The two new centers in Cromwell and Old Saybrook are the first of several that Hartford HealthCare- GoHealth plans to open in 2024.

The Cromwell center is located at 28 Shunpike Road, between McDonald's and Dental Arts of Cromwell.

The center is designed to provide the community with "a more affordable option for safe and efficient care outside of higher-cost settings like the emergency department, without sacrificing quality," Walsh said.

The new center offers treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, on-site X-ray services and diagnostic testing. It is open 365 days a year, including holidays, with regular hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
