ID Released Of Pedestrian Fatally Struck On Route 9 In Middletown
Connecticut State Police said they are investigating the accident.
MIDDLETOWN, CT – Connecticut State Police said a pedestrian died after being hit by a car in Middletown.
On Sunday, April 30, A Haddam resident, was driving southbound on Route 9 in the right lane of the two before old Exit 10 (new Exit 19) in the town of Middletown, police said.
A pedestrian, identified as Carlos Jr. Morales-Torres, 22, of Willimantic, was on foot in the roadway, police said.

Police said the driver struck the pedestrian and evaded the scene in her vehicle. Morales-Torres was transported to Hartford Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
The accident remains active and under investigation.
