Upcoming Webinars and Library Seminar in Middletown for Local Residents

With income tax filing season just concluded, we’ve all been reminded that taxes are inevitable. However, there are numerous ways to protect retirement income from higher taxes, with sufficient advance planning as part of a comprehensive financial plan.

Connecticut financial planning and wealth management firm Fuchs Financial, led by founder Ben Fuchs, will be sharing their expertise regarding taxes in retirement with local residents throughout this month.

The firm, with offices in Middletown, West Hartford, Middlebury, and Mystic, will be offering “How to Minimize Taxes in Retirement” sessions at the local libraries in Middletown – free of charge – and webinars on the same topic. There is no charge for the webinars, but advance registration is required.

The library sessions will be held on Tuesday, May 13, at Middletown’s Russell Library, 123 Broad Street, at 12:30 PM. In addition, there will be free webinars on the same subject – taxes in retirement – on Thursday, May 15 at 12:00 and at 6:00 PM. Among the topics that will be highlighted:

  • Discover ways to pay the minimum in taxes when rolling over a 401(k), 403(b), 457, thrift savings, or lump-sum pension funds.

  • How to avoid inadvertently making one of the most common errors in your retirement income plan could cost thousands over your lifetime.
