Dec. 13

THIRD-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, BREACH OF PEACE, INTERFERING WITH OFFICER — At 9:30 p.m., police picked up Patrick Meskers, 26, of North Main Street, Marlborough, at Berlin Police headquarters on an outstanding warrant.

SECOND-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, BREACH OF PEACE — At 11:27 p.m., police were called to Jerry's Pizza on South Main Street about several patrons who had just left the restaurant and were arguing with other customers and jumping a Chevrolet Malibu, according to the report. Bryan J. Green, 26, of Long Hill Road, who was inside a Hyundai Genesis, said he and several other Matty's Next Door patrons had argued in the parking lot, according to the report. Witnesses said Green jumped on the car, which had "significant" damage to its roof, from side to side. He later told officers he had a few drinks and "took things too far."

SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE — At 9:45 p.m., police were called to the Eddy Center about an assault in which Dennis A. Savage, 55, of LaBella Circle reportedly punched a man whom he called a "rat," according to the report. Savage said the man, whom he termed a "born-again non-drinker" told Eddy Center officials that Savage had begun drinking after making comments for a few months. The victim told officers Savage came up behind him in the hallway and say, "here, you want something to snitch about? Snitch about this!" and punched him three times in the face, according to the report, knocking the man's glasses off and one lens popped out. Savage was told to sleep on the couch in the center's lobby until other living arrangements could be made, police say. 

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — At 7:30 p.m., Michelle Sofianos, 45, of Town Colony Drive turned herself in on an outstanding warrant. 

TWO COUNTS DISORDERLY CONDUCT, SECOND-DEGREE RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT — Brian Clark, 34, of Clinton Avenue was at a home on Spring Street where he argued with his girlfriend and grabbed her by the top of her head and turned it in his direction, according to the report. Police say Clark pushed her 15-year-old daughter and grabbed her by the wrist to turn her around and "got into the faces" of two juveniles there, making them fear being hit. Clark admitted to touching the woman's face but said he did so gently, police indicate, and he didn't grab the teen's wrist rather the bag she was leaving with, which was his.

FAILURE TO RESPOND — Marisol Castillo, 47, of Saltonstall Avenue, New Haven, turned herself in on an outstanding warrant.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — At 8:23 p.m., police were called to a home on Burr Avenue about a woman Meghan Daley, 27, of Burr Avenue who argued with her 17-year-old nephew who lives with her and her 10-year-old son, according to the report. Daley, who has been teen's legal guardian for three years and the boy argued about food and he reportedly pushed her up against the wall then threw food, the report says. His account said Daley threatened him with a large butcher knife, according to the report, although a witness and she denied the charge. Police say the juvenile also pushed her son and locked him in a room while she demanded the teen and his girlfriend leave the home. The 17-year-old was charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call. 

Dec. 9

INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM, LICENSE SUSPENDED, WINDSHIELD OBSTRUCTING VIEW — At 9:34 a.m., Carol A. Ford, 69, of Chamberlain Hill Road ran her Chevrolet Sonic into a ditch, according to police, after her dog escaped the house and she jumped into her car to go after him when a deer jumped in front of her car. Her front window, police say, was heavily frosted over.

Dec. 8

DUI, UNSAFE MOVEMENT — At 2:10 a.m., Roshane Sterling, 26, of Prospect Street was stopped by police after driving erratically on Washington Street at Plaza Drive and smelling of alcohol, according to the report. He admitted to drinking alcohol and failed sobriety tests and blood alcohol level tests were .1850 and .1808.

Dec. 7

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — At 12:49 p.m., police were called to Price Chopper on Washington Street about a shoplifter, Thurman D. Ready, 64, of Main Street, who walked out of the store with a cart full of groceries not in bags. When confronted, the report says, Ready told the loss prevention officer he had thrown out his receipt. He eventually admitted to stealing the food, police say. 

Dec. 5

NON-STUDENT POSSESSING DRUG PARAPHERNALIA NEAR SCHOOL — At about 11 p.m., police saw Rena Mooring, 53, of Woodbury Circle inside a car parked on Liberty Street in front of Aresco's Market, a high crime area, according to the report. A man walked away from the car's passenger side, police say, and as the car drove off, the officer followed it and saw Mooring throw something outside. A police canine was used to search her purse and five crack pipes were seized, the report says.
