Oct. 14
TWO COUNTS FAILURE TO RESPOND — Gary W. Latham, 44, of no certain address was the subject of a well-being check by police at 4:53 p.m. and found with two outstanding warrants.

POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO SELL, DISTRIBUTION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES LESS THAN 1,500 FEET FROM SCHOOL, POSSESSION NARCOTICS, INTERFERING WITH AN OFFICER, ASSAULT PUBLIC SAFETY PERSONNEL — Police on Main and Liberty Streets watching Franklin Brown, 55, of Newfield Street after complaints of narcotics dealing saw a woman approach him, hand him money and he gave her a small white substance, according to the report. He denied committing a crime to detectives, resisted arrest and injured an offer. A search revealed a cell phone, $39 in cash and 4.4 grams of crack cocaine with $440, police say.

TWO COUNTS FIRST-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR AND FAILURE TO RESPOND — At 4:54 p.m., Bobbie G. Edmonds, 40, of Maplewood Terrace was seen by police at Main and Green streets with outstanding warrants.
BREACH OF PEACE — At 8:08 p.m., police were called to Hillside Avenue about an assault between Laura Roman, 29, of Hillside Avenue and her uncle, in which she attacked him by grabbing his neck and shirt, according to the report.

SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE, THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT — At 11:36 p.m., a female victim said her boyfriend, Marcus Gashgorian, 40, of Durant Terrace, slapped her across the face during an argument over her going to her father's house, police say. He refused to leave the house, the report says,
VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER — At 11:50 p.m., police were called to a home on East Street where Christine Vogel, 47, of East Street had thrown the belongings of Paul M. Lannunziata, 57, of East Street in the yard, according to the report. Lannunziata was heavily intoxicated, police say, and told them he and Vogel had drank two bottles of wine outside while sitting by a fire. The two fought and she locked him out of the house, according to the report. When officers knocked on the door, the report says, Vogel took a while to answer then finally did while appearing heavily intoxicated.
At 2:02 a.m. on Oct. 13, Christine Vogel, 47, of East Street said Paul M. Lannunziata, 57, of East Street said he had called her cell phone at 1:46 a.m. and left a voicemail message, according to the report. Police say Lannunziata's message said, "I know I'm violating the order and am committing a felony but I have no place to stay for the night. All the hotels in Cromwell are full because of the road race in Hartford. I'm not sure where to go, I'm walking on Route 372 in Cromwell. Can I please stay on the couch tonight?" The report says Lannunziata told police he didn't want to stay the night on the streets. Both were charged with the above.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT — Barbara Palanzo, 75, of Highland Avenue fought with her daughter and, according to the report, made comments about committing suicide. The daughter told detectives Palanzo threw things on the floor and slapped and pinched her daughter because she wouldn't give her cigarettes. The niece, police say, who recorded a portion of the argument on her cell phone, confirmed the account.
Oct. 11
SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE — At 5:54 p.m., police were called to Bartholomew Road about a husband and wife arguing. Sharon N. McHale, 56, told officers she hit James McHale, 56, both of South Bartholomew Road, in the chest to stop him from breaking her 30-year-old son's surf board, according to the report.
BREACH OF PEACE — At 9:53 p.m., police were called to the sidewalk outside Fiore's Restaurant on Main Street where Hunter's Ambulance staff and Middletown firefighters were attending to Marilyn Sweatt, 52, of High Street, who was lying outside, yelling at EMS workers, according to the report. She had been removed from the eatery after breaking a wine bottle in the bathroom, police say, and swore and threatened people trying to help her and bystanders.
VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER — At 10:43 p.m., police were called to a wedding reception at 616 Long Hill Road, the Barns at Wesleyan Hills, about a fight involving Diana Herrara-O'Campo, 29, of Franklin Street, Hartford, and her ex-boyfriend Eric Delgato, 32, of Charter Oak Place, Hartford. During the event, police say, Delgado spit in Herrara-O'Campo's face, according to the report, and tried to assault her new boyfriend. He fled the hall and hid in a drainage tunnel, and police say, refused to show his hands so they Tasered him. Both were charged with the above and Delgado additionally for interfering with an officer.
Oct. 10
FUGITIVE ARREST WARRANT — At 7:19 p.m., Kevin Meyers, 46, of 3rd Avenue, Bronx, N.Y., was a passenger in a car stopped by police while driving on Washington Street and found with an extraditable warrant out of New York for criminal possession of a forged instrument.
