Middletown Police report the following incidents:
Oct. 24
POSSESSION NARCOTICS, AND WITH INTENT TO SELL, AND LESS THAN HALF-OUNCE MARIJUANA — At 12:48 p.m., Tracy D. Artis, 39, of Lynn Street, East Hartford, was a passenger in a Chevrolet Captivas parked in a spot at the corner of Washington and Main Street and seen by police near Public Market. The report says a man came up to the car and offered cash then was handed a "small, rock-like" substance. Police say officers stopped the car on Route 9, smelled marijuana and found a 4.4 gram bag of crack cocaine and 1.4 grams of marijuana on Artis and $125 in cash. The report says at headquarters Artis told them the other suspect swallowed cocaine while he kept his in his pants. The report says the crack was worth $440 on the street and marijuana about $30.

VIOLATION RESTRAINING ORDER — At 4:22 p.m., Walter Dozier, 70, of Afton Terrace called police asking for a witness while he gathered items from his home, according to the report. A search revealed he had a restraining order against him and the victim said he parked his car across her driveway to block her car in and he was harassing her. The report says the victim was afraid since he is a Vietnam veteran and suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and "sometimes becomes violent."
DISORDERLY CONDUCT — At 9:46 p.m., police were called to Burgundy Lane about a domestic dispute involving Melysa A. Damato, 41, of Burgundy Hill Lane and her boyfriend Matthew J. Solek, 45, of Burgundy Hill Lane, according to the report, in which she slapped him and he grabbed her by the neck and threw household items at her. Both were charged.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — At 9:19 p.m., police were called to the home of Sandra Brunet, 46, of Dove Lane, by a friend to check on her after he/she called and heard yelling in the background, according to the report. Brunet told officers she argued with her ex-boyfriend, Scott Rametta, 37, of Dove Lane, who came home heavily intoxicated and accused her of cheating then hit her. Police say Rametta admitted to nudging Brunet with his shoulder because he thought she was talking to another man on the phone and she pulled him on the ground and choked him. Both were charged with the above and Brunet additionally for third-degree strangulation.

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — Diego F. Tachack, 46, of South Main Street was picked up by Branford Police on an outstanding warrant.
