Middletown Arrests: Oct. 29 to Nov. 5

The following police reports come from the Middletown Police public information officer. Individuals named here reflect charges filed, never a conviction.

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

Nov. 5

DUI, FAILURE TO DRIVE RIGHT, POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES, FAILURE TO FINGERPRINT, INTERFERING WITH OFFICER, THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT — At 10:52 p.m., police were called to Rose Circle for a domestic assault involving Said U. Orozco, 26, of East Robbins Avenue, Newington, in which he reportedly pulled her by her hair out of the car and punched her several times, the report says.

He drove away in a Toyota Camry, according to the report. He was found driving on Newfield Street near LaRosa Lane, police say, weaving in the roadway and nearly hitting a curb. When stopped, the report says, Orozco smelled of alcohol and refused to leave the car so officers Tased him; when he became combative, he was Tased again. Police say he was found with a $713 in cash and two vials of cocaine.

The report says during booking he repeatedly threatened officers, including saying he was going to harm one officer's daughter and the detective "would not be safe anywhere."

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, RISK OF INJURY — At 5:17 p.m., Lucinda R. Milardo, 41, of Garfield Avenue had a verbal argument with her live-in boyfriend Derik S. Read who left he home with their 4-year-old child, according to the report. Milardo reportedly tried to grab a camera from her boyfriend and a scuffle erupted between them and Milardo fell down concrete steps. Police say Read had discovered Milardo was cheating on him and then he videotaped her "out-of-control" behavior.

Nov. 1

THIRD-DEGREE AND SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY, ATTEMPT TO COMMIT CRIME — At 5:46 a.m., police were called to Forest Glen Circle for a man, Ashundelle Jackson, 22, of Rose Circle, trying to steal a Honda Accord, according to the report. Police say he admitted to the break-in and taking some of the owner's belongings.

Oct. 31

VIOLATION RESTRAINING ORDER — At 5:40 p.m., a woman walked into police headquarters saying while she was at the Russell Library using a computer Brian S. Bassett, 52, of Pleasant Street came up and tapped her on the shoulder, according to the report, saying "happy belated birthday." Police say Bassett told them he had run into "an old friend" at the library and wished her well.

VIOLATION RESTRAINING ORDER — At 5:46 p.m., Joshua Comas, 23, of Washington Street was at the home of his ex-girlfriend on Stoneycrest Drive when police were called about an unwanted person, according to the report. Police say Comas showed up to take their 3-year-old trick or treating and drove away with him without a car seat.

FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELT, OPERATION UNDER SUSPENSION, SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — At 9:38 p.m. Matthew Berggren, 24, of Brooks Road turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

Oct. 30

THIRD-DEGREE LARCENY, CREDIT CARD THEFT — Rayshon Gray, 20, of Davenport Avenue, New Haven, was picked up by New Haven Police on an outstanding warrant from Middletown.

Oct. 29

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — At 6 p.m., police narcotics officers picked up Francine Y. Lewis, 32, of Pearl Street while serving an arrest warrant at her home. The report says she was found to have an outstanding warrant from Hartford Police.
