Middletown Election Results 2022: Big Night For Local Incumbents
Thousands of Middletown residents cast their votes in the 2022 state and federal election in a number of key races.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — It was a good night for Middletown's incumbent state legislators in Tuesday's election.
Incumbent Democrat Matt Lesser won re-election by defeating Republican challenger Lisa Marotta in the 9th Senatorial District.
"Thank you!" Lesser wrote in a post on Twitter. "Excited to have the opportunity to serve the people of Newington, Middletown, Cromwell, Rocky Hill and Wethersfield for another two years!"

In the 33rd House District, incumbent Democrat Brandon Chafee fended off a challenge from Republican Quatina Frazer, according to the Middletown Press.
The Press reported Chafee was leading 4,474 to 2,410, according to unofficial results.

Incumbent Democrat Quentin Williams ran unopposed in the 100th House District.
Democrat Jan Hochadel was projected to beat Republican Joseph Vollano in the 13th Senatorial District, according to Record-Journal.
MIDDLETOWN, CT — The polls are closed in Middletown and the vote counting is underway in several key federal and state races, including the office of governor, U.S. Senator, Congress, and local state representatives.
Eyes are on the gubernatorial race as incumbent Gov. Ned Lamont faces off against Republican nominee Bob Stefanowski and Independent Party candidate Rob Hotaling. Several other state constitutional positions are on the ballot, including treasurer, comptroller, attorney general and secretary of the state.
Connecticut also has a U.S. Senate seat up for grabs. Sen. Richard Blumenthal is seeking a third term, while Republican Leora Levy hopes to unseat him. All the state’s congressional seats are up for election as well.

All seats in the state General Assembly are up for election this year.
Residents also voted on whether the state should allow early voting. The question on the ballot is: “Shall the Constitution of the State be amended to permit the General Assembly to provide for early voting?
Middletown residents also voted “yes” or “no” on the following ballot question:
Shall the $19,900,000 appropriation and bond authorization for the 2022 Water and Sewer Improvements in the City of Middletown, that includes funding for planning, design, acquisition, and construction of water and sewer improvements, be approved?
