Middletown Gun Buyback Event: What You Need To Know
During the gun buyback event, gift cards will be exchanged for operable guns while supplies last.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Middletown Police Department is participating in the 3rd Annual #KeepKidsSafe Connecticut Statewide Gun Buyback Gun Safe Giveaway Day.
The gun buyback event will be on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the rear lot of the Middletown Police Department. It is 100 percent anonymous. No ID is required, and no questions are asked.
Gift cards will be exchanged for operable guns while supplies last.

- $200 for assault weapons (per Connecticut Summary of Gun Laws, to be determined by police. No newly sawed-off shotguns).
- $100 for pistol and revolver (handguns).
- $50 for rifles and shotguns.
- $25 for single and double-shot (derringer-style) handguns and any type of black powder gun.
Guns must be transported in the trunk of the car.
Non-working guns, flare guns, pellet/bb guns, ammunition and magazine clips may be turned in (not eligible for gift cards).
