Middletown Little League Girls Softball Boasts Undefeated Season
Every game showcased timely hits, defensive plays and solid pitching by these accomplished young athletes.

The Middletown Softball Majors (10- to 12-year-old girls) completed a perfect season on Nov. 2 with an impressive record of 20-0, according to Coach Dave Pawlak, manager of MLL Majors Fall Softball.
The girls competed in the Wallingford Fall Ball League which consisted of 11 teams from four districts and the players worked hard at practices and came together strongly at game times.
Every game showcased timely hits, defensive plays and solid pitching. Sportsmanship, camaraderie and a pure love of the game was also exhibited during this perfect season.

These young ladies took great pride in representing MLL and the city of Middletown, Pawlak said. Assistant coaches Paul Shettleworth and Linda Culup, the girls' parents, grandparents and Pawlak are were proud of the team's accomplishments.
"It's a season I will never forget," Pawlak said, adding, "a tremendous thank you goes out to all who helped the team this fall."
