Obituary: John D'Martino Spadaro, 69, of Middletown
John, a loving son and friend, was an avid photographer and proud New York Yankees fan.
MIDDLETOWN, CT - (From Doolittle Funeral Home) John D'Martino Spadaro died Thursday, February 10, 2022 after a long illness.
He was predeceased by his parents Anthony Spadaro and June (Proto) Spadaro.
John attended Hamden schools and lived many years in New York City.
After returning to Connecticut in his later years, he enjoyed a quiet life pursuing his interest in watches and photographing the deer, birds and bunnies in the backyard. He also enjoyed conversations with Instagram friends and rooting loudly for the Yankees.
Left to mourn his passing is Thelma Freeland, her family and friends from New Haven and New York.
We wish to extend our thanks to the healthcare workers who assisted with his care over the years especially those at the Cornell Scott South Central Rehabilitation Center, the Water’s Edge Rehabilitation Center and Middlesex Hospital.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 11:00am in Pine Grove Cemetery, 857 South Main Street, Middletown, CT.
