PD: Woman Bit Boyfriend's Shoulder Fleeing Physical Assault

Middletown Police arrested a live-in couple after the woman, who's extremely possessive of her boyfriend, swore at his minister aunt and he charged her with arranging for his demise.

A Middletown couple was charged with assault after police say a verbal argument turned physical and the girlfriend was forced to bite her boyfriend on the shoulder in order to get away.

On Oct. 13 at 11:45 a.m., police were called to Burgundy Hill Lane for a physical fight between a live-in boyfriend and girlfriend who reside on that street, Belvon Leary, 36, and Tiffany Riley, 30, according to the report. The report says Riley bit Leary's shoulder in an attempt to get away.

Police observed teeth marks, upper and lower rows, which had broken the skin of Leary's shoulder, the report says. While the two were fighting, according to the affidavit, Riley was swearing on the telephone to Leary's aunt, who is a minister. She is "extremely jealous," of Leary, police indicated, often not allowing him to leave the home.

As Leary tried to leave following the argument, the report says, Riley clung onto her boyfriend with her hands and bit his right shoulder. Riley told officers Leary accused her of "putting a hit on him," which she denied, and he grabbed her wrist prompting her to bite him in order to get away.

Both were charged with third-degree assault.
