MIDDLETOWN, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.
This submission comes from Laura Wilson, who nominated Deborah Kleckowski of Middletown. She is a former councilwoman who volunteers her time to help the community.

Reason for recognition: She goes out of her way to help people find jobs in our local businesses. She delivers food, from the food bank, to home bound people. She also helps fill vegetable boxes for distribution to people in need.
One thing to know: Deb will go out of her way and use every single resource she has, to help someone with any situation they find themselves in. She is a true servant leader in our community. She's extremely dependable and truly cares for others.
