Teen Charged In Shooting Of 16-Year-Old: Middletown Police
A shooting in Middletown resulted in one teenager being arrested, another being injured, police said.
MIDDLETOWN, CT — Middletown police said they arrested Saquan Bennet, 19, after police responded to a shooting on March 31.
The shooting occurred around 10:25 p.m. at 50-60 Ferry St., police said. A 16-year-old man was shot inside a vehicle driving through a parking lot, police said.

The teenager sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident, police said. The victim's name is not being released at this time.
After an investigation, Bennet was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, unlawful discharge of a firearm, criminal use of a firearm, carrying a pistol without permit and commission of a Class B Felony with a Firearm.

Bennett was held in lieu of an $85,000 bond with a court date at Middlesex Superior Court on April 10.
