MIDDLETOWN, CT — A truck fire, plus heavy snowfall, made the initial stages of Thursday morning's commute a messy one in Middletown.

The crash took place at about 6 a.m., before snow began falling, but delays were still heavy two hours later as winter weather began rolling in.
