Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Middlesex/New London Counties

MIDDLESEX/NEW LONDON COUNTY, CT — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for inland sections of Middlesex and New London counties until 10 a.m. Wednesday.

"Mixed precipitation. Snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of a light glaze....Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact both the evening and morning commute....Coverage of freezing rain could very well be more patchy and limited to higher elevations."

Tonight
Rain, snow, and sleet likely before 9pm, then snow likely, possibly mixed with rain. Cloudy, with a low around 32. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total nighttime snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Wednesday
A 30 percent chance of rain, mainly after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 43. Southeast wind 3 to 6 mph.

Wednesday Night
Rain, mainly after 8pm. Temperature rising to around 45 by 2am. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
