Alfred M. Kulenski

Cherished Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather

Alfred M. Kulenski of Milford CT passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025 with his family by his side.

He was born on December 27, 1925, at his family home in West Haven CT. Alfred was the son of the late Bronislaw (Benjamin) Kulenski and Victoria Kulenski. His family emigrated from Poland in 1914. Alfred worked in the family business, Atlas Moving and Storage in West Haven for over 50 years. After his retirement from Atlas, he worked as a School Crossing Guard in Milford for 19 years. He was pre-deceased by his wife Lillian Chandler Kulenski in 2013. He was also pre-deceased by his siblings – Stanley, Charles, Edward, Wanda Mangrum, Helen Baggish and Genevive Kulenski.

In his later years, he enjoyed seeing his great grandchildren and watching their various sporting events and activities. He loved his baseball games, especially the Yankees.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his sons, Terry Kulenski (Nancy) of Oxford CT, Alfred Kulenski (Janeen) of Fort Collins CO and his daughter Marcia Krusewski (Richard) of Milford CT. He leaves 7 grandchildren – Jesse, Michael (Ria) and Thomas Kulenski of Fort Collins CO; Robyn Johnson (Dan) of Milford CT; Kevin Krusewski of Oxford CT; Adam Kulenski of Middletown CT; Kate Staffieri (Paul) of Orange CT. He also leaves 5 great grandchildren – Kayla and Kyle Johnson; Julian and Elliot Staffieri; and Zyan Foster. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, June Murphy of West Haven CT.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at the GREGORY DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Milford.

Our family would like to thank the staff of Orange Healthcare for their compassionate care of Alfred during the last year. Also, we express our thanks to a special friend, Marc Giordano, for his friendship to Al during his last years.
