Ben Blake Gets Party Endorsement to Run for Third Term

Blake called the position as Milford's mayor the "best job on Earth," the Milford Mirror reports.

Ben Blake received the Democratic Town Committee’s backing to run for a third term as mayor at Thursday night’s meeting at City Hall.

Blake called the position the “best job on Earth,” and talked about changes made in the past, as well as what he hopes to change in the coming term, the Mirror reports.

Republicans will meet to endorse its candidates for the upcoming November election Monday night at City Hall.

Democrats also endorsed Brendan Casey, who will run for city clerk, and proposed a slate of candidates to run for seats on the Board of Aldermen, Board of Education and Planning and Zoning Board.
