Car On Fire Temporality Closes Busy Road: Milford Fire Dept.

Fire crews found a single car pulled off to the right shoulder with its engine compartment on fire, Adam Hansen, PIO, said.

MILFORD, CT — A portion of the Route 15 -Feeder/Connector had to be temporarily closed due to a car being on fire, Adam Hansen, Milford Fire Department PIO, said.

On Monday, around 3:14 p.m. The Milford EOC received a 911 call reporting a car on fire on the Route 15 – Feeder/Connector South Bound, Hansen said.

When fire crews arrived on the scene, they found a single car pulled off to the right shoulder with its engine compartment fully engulfed with fire, Hansen said.

Fire companies stretched an attack line, extinguished the fire and overhauled the vehicle, Hansen said.

No injuries were reported, and the portion of the Feeder-South Bound that was temporarily closed was eventually reopened, Hansen said.
