Cookie Shop Opens Location On Property Of Former Iconic Business In Milford
A cookie shop is opening a second location in the parking lot of a well-known former Milford business, according to reports.
MILFORD, CT — Cookie39 is opening a location in the parking lot of the former Sundae House in New Haven, as reported by The Connecticut Scoop.
The cookie shop, which has an existing location on Broadway in New Haven, will be set up in a trailer. Ultimately, Cookie39 hopes to renovate the former Sundae House building at 499 New Haven Ave. into a new shop, according to The Connecticut Scoop.
The bakery offers a wide variety of cookies from classics like chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin to sea salt toffee, peanut butter cup, s'mores, and gluten-free options.

Cookie39 also serves coffee, ice cream, milkshakes, and more.
The store hosted a soft opening of its new Milford food truck location Wednesday, according to Hearst Connecticut Media.

The Sundae House operated on the site for over 60 years, serving both traditional and soft serve ice cream.
Though the business has had its ups and downs over the years, the owners previously said COVID wasn't one of them and called it "a great year for us."
