Why are you seeking this office?
I’m not a politician—I just really believe I can help Milford. I’m running because I see so much potential in our city, and I want to play a role in shaping a strong, vibrant future we can all be proud of. Milford deserves leadership that listens, plans ahead, and makes thoughtful decisions with the community at heart. I will be fully informed on every issue, and every vote I cast will be guided by one principle—what’s in the best interests of Milford.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is the lack of stability in how Milford plans for its future—whether it’s taxes, schools, or development. I intend to address this by advocating for long-term planning, steady budgets, and clear communication. By building stability and transparency into our decision-making, we can reduce surprises, strengthen trust, and create a stronger foundation for Milford’s future.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I bring a unique combination of broader experience and deep local roots. Through civic engagement, I’ve gained experience in leadership programs that bring together leaders from the private, public, and nonprofit sectors to address challenges like growth, development, and school facilities. I’ve seen how these issues impact communities and how proactive planning and collaboration can make a real difference. At the same time, Milford is my hometown, and I care deeply about every decision that affects our residents. That blend of perspective and commitment gives me the tools to make informed, balanced decisions that keep Milford moving forward.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
During my campaign, I intend to focus on four key issues: strong schools, fair and predictable taxes, responsible growth, and open, transparent government.
As I’ve been talking with people across Milford, I hear these same concerns echoed again and again. Families want taxes that don’t surprise them, parents and teachers want stable and well-supported schools, and neighbors want to be part of decisions on projects like Fowler Field. Many also want to be sure that any growth in Milford is smart and thoughtful, strengthening our community while preserving the neighborhoods we love.
These conversations give me hope because they show how deeply people care about our city’s future—and that’s the spirit I want to carry into this campaign.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I believe my background has given me the tools to handle this job effectively. I served on the Denver Public Schools Bond and Mill Levy Committee in 2020, helping guide important decisions on school funding and facilities. I was also selected for one of Denver’s premier civic leadership programs, which brought together leaders from across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to focus on community challenges.
In my professional career, I’ve led collaborative efforts—like working with the Governor’s office, industry leaders, and community groups to draft first-in-the-nation legislation that was ultimately signed into law by Colorado's Governor Polis. My training as both an accountant and a corporate attorney gives me a strong foundation in financial responsibility, governance, and complex problem-solving.
Together, this mix of civic engagement and professional experience shows that I know how to listen, work across perspectives, and deliver results—skills I believe will serve Milford well.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
The best advice I ever received was that at the end of the day, you are the one most responsible for your own path. No one will care more about your future than you do. That reminder has stuck with me—it taught me to take ownership, work hard, and never compromise my values. It’s also how I approach public service: by staying true to what’s best for Milford and making decisions I can stand behind with integrity.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I’d like voters to know that I care deeply about Milford and believe in its future. I’m not running to be a politician—I’m running because I truly believe I can help our city grow stronger, stay vibrant, and remain a place we’re all proud to call home.
I promise to be informed on every issue, to listen to residents, and to make every decision with one guiding principle—what’s in the best interests of Milford.
