WATCH: Reckless Driver Speeds Past Officer, Crashes Into Tree, Orange Police Say
The car "went flying past" a cruiser, police said.
ORANGE, CT — A man was arrested for reckless driving after crash his car in Orange, according to police.
An officer was patrolling a little after 1 a.m. Friday on Route when a Dodge Charger "went flying past his cruiser," police said.
Seconds later, the officer found the car wrecked against some trees near the intersection of Walnut Hill Road after the driver lost control.

"By some miracle, the driver was uninjured and hadn't hurt anyone else, but his reckless speed certainly caused significant damage," police said.
The lights in the video are at the Birchwood and Route 114 intersections, heading toward Derby.

Jabouin Kervens, 24, of Norwich, was charged with reckless driving, speeding, and failure to maintain his lane.
He is scheduled to appear at the Superior Court in Derby on Jan. 5.
