MILFORD, CT – An off-duty firefighter helped the driver out of their car after it rolled over Saturday night, Adam Hansen, Milford Fire Department PIO, said.

On Saturday Night (Aug. 26), Milford Fire Department responded to Wane Road for a report of a motor vehicle rollover with extrication, Hansen said.

When fire personnel arrived, they found a single car rolled onto its roof, Hansen said.

There was a single occupant in the vehicle at the time of the crash, Hansen said.

Before fire personnel arrived on the scene, an off-duty firefighter broke one of the windows and was able to remove the occupant from the vehicle, Hansen said.

Minor injuries were reported, and the occupant was transported to an area hospital for evaluation, Hansen said.
