Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Southern Connecticut
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for all of southern Connecticut. Here's what you need to know.
SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for southern Connecticut in an anticipation of strong-to-severe thunderstorms on Sunday afternoon and evening.
"Sunday afternoon into evening there will be a chance for scattered strong to severe thunderstorms. The main threat is damaging wind gusts, but hail and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Localized flash flooding is also possible," the weather service said in a statement for southern Connecticut."

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 11pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 71. South wind 8 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 5pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 86. Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
