John B. Hanson, passed away in his home on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer.
He loved a hot cup of coffee, sitting by the water, and holding his wife's hand on the couch.
John B. Hanson, lovingly referred to as “Dad” and “Pop,” passed away in his home on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer.
Born in Norwalk on May 9, 1952, John was a dedicated service technician for Protection One for 33 years. In his retirement, John found joy in tending to his garden and spending time with his family. John was a wonderful father, always quick with a joke and a genuine "How are you?" He was a devoted grandfather, happily toting his grandchildren around and offering rides on his garden tractor. He loved a hot cup of coffee, sitting by the water, and holding his wife’s hand on the couch.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Teresa; his daughter, Stacy; his son, Eric (Melanie); his granddaughter, Dahlia; and his grandson, Donovan. He was preceded in death by his son, John, and his mother, Phyllis.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 10am to 12pm at the Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. A Memorial Service will take place at noon at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
