Jonathan Law Quarterback Named CT Gatorade Football Player Of Year

Versatile quarterback John Neider led the Lawmen to a historic 10-2 season. He also maintains a 4.18 GPA and volunteers in the community.

MILFORD, CT — Jonathan Law High School football receiver turned quarterback John Neider was named the 2022-2023 Gatorade Connecticut Football Player of the Year after leading the Lawmen to a historic 10-2 season.

Neider completed 155 of 236 pass attempts for nearly 2,300 yards and 30 touchdowns. He also rushed for nearly 1,700 yards and 24 touchdowns, and caught a touchdown pass.

“His ability to run made him such a dangerous player," said Mark T. Sheehan High School head coach John Ferrazzi in a statement. "Whether it was designed runs or scrambles, he had the size, speed, and physicality to really hurt you whenever he took off running.”
