Lots Of Rain, Snow In Forecast For Coastal Sections Of Southern CT

It's going to be a very active week of weather, as we may see precipitation for the next six days. Here are the latest updates.

COASTAL SECTIONS OF SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — A winter weather advisory has been issued for most of Connecticut for the chance of some snow and ice Sunday night and Monday morning.

But along the immediate coast it will be just plain rain and no advisories have been posted.

Rain is forecast after midnight, and it will continue to rain at times on Monday and Monday night and Tuesday morning.

More rain is possible Wednesday and Thursday morning, and then there is a chance for snow on Friday night and Saturday.

Tonight: Rain, mainly after 1am. Low around 33. East wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Monday: Rain, mainly before 1pm. Patchy fog after 1pm. High near 46. East wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Monday Night: Rain. Patchy fog before 9pm. Temperature rising to around 49 by 3am. South wind 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Rain, mainly before 10am. High near 57. West wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 33.

Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of rain after 1pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 52.
