Man Caught Using $100 Counterfeit Bill At Milford Store, Police Say

MILFORD, CT — A man is facing charges after police said he was caught with counterfeit bills.

Police were dispatched to Walmart at 1365 Boston Post Road on a report that a man was attempting to buy merchandise with a $100 counterfeit bill.

Kamal Brown, 24, of Hempstead, New York, was arrested. Police said he was found in possession of additional counterfeit bills when he was taken into custody.

Brown was charged with first-degree forgery and criminal attempt at sixth-degree larceny.

He was released on a promise to appear in Milford Superior Court on Oct. 8.
