Man Robbed Bank Of $7,000: Milford Police
Police said a Stratford man is accused of robbing a local bank and he was charged.
MILFORD, CT — Milford police said Tuesday that Scott Watkins, 41, of Stratford, was charged with robbery and larceny after trying to rob a bank.
On Feb. 27, police officers arrived at the Milford Bank, 144 Boston Post Road, after they received reports of a bank robbery.
Police said Watkins passed a note to the teller demanding cash. The teller complied, and Watkins took over $7,000 before fleeing in a vehicle, police said.

The investigation led police to Watkins, and he was charged with second-degree robbery and third-degree larceny.
Watkins is being held on a $150,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Milford Court on May 18.
