Meadowside Road Affordable Housing Plan Gains Approval

The apartment complex will house seven units designated as affordable.

Final approval was received for a proposed one-acre apartment complex with an affordable component at 335 Meadowside Rd., owned by Christopher and Warren Field of Field & Son Builders, according to the Milford Mirror.

A 7 to 3 vote from the Planning and Zoning Board at its July 21 meeting excited residents, both positively and negatively, and at time brought chaos and had residents calling out at officials from the audience, who were questioning board members’ decisions, the Mirror reports.

The Board approved a modified version of the original proposal at its June 16 meeting, which decreased the total number of two-bedroom townhouses from 18 to 15, and increased the number of units designated as affordable from six to seven.
