Milford Mom, Grandmother 'Goes Above & Beyond For Anyone In Her Life'

MILFORD, CT— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

She goes above and beyond for anyone in her life. She’s still working full-time as a professor at Gateway, running the small business center. Each one of her students, my mom pours her heart into. Beyond that, she still continues to support her two children and four grandchildren ... She still attends every football game, lacrosse game, track meet, every horseback lesson, every ice skating lesson —you name it, she’s in the stands cheering (sometimes too loud if you ask her grandkids haha). She’s incredible! I’m a single parent, and I couldn’t do it without my mother. She truly goes above and beyond for anyone in her life.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

She deserves the spotlight because she NEVER puts herself first. We tell her all the time how incredible she is! She deserves for everyone to know how amazing she is and how lost my brother and I would be without her, as well as how much of an amazing impact she’s made on her grandchildren and even her students! We don’t go anywhere without someone coming up to her and thanking her for the extra effort she put in or the extra attention.
