Milford Police Department Hiring

All completed applications must be received by Aug. 4.

The Milford Police Department, along with the South Central Criminal Justice Administration (SCCJA), has announced a testing process for the hiring of police officers, according to a press release.

Interested candidates must be 21 years old with a High School diploma or equivalency diploma, U.S. citizenship, and must possess a motor vehicle operator’s license issued by the state of Connecticut or by another state with the right to operate a motor vehicle within the state.

All completed applications must be received, not merely postmarked, by Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 4:30 p.m. at the SCCJA office.

Applications can be optained online at the SCCJA here, or in limited supply at the Milford Police Department, 430 Boston Post Rd.

There is a $50 application fee due when turning in the application to the SCCJA.

Testing will consist of three phases: agility, written and oral examinations.

The agility portion will take place Monday, Aug. 24 at Branford High School, 185 East Main St., at 4 p.m.

For those who pass the agility portion, the written test will take place Saturday, Aug. 29 at Amity High School, 25 Newton Rd., Woodbridge. There will be a morning and afternoon session, and candidates will be notified of their time.

The oral portion will take place sometime mid-September, and candidates will be notified on the exact date, time and location.
