Milford Police: Durham Man Issues Bad Checks to Costco

Milford police said they received a complaint regarding three bad checks that were issued to Costco Wholesale Club on Dec. 23, 2014.

The investigation led to the arrest of Bryant Esparo, 51, of Bailey Road in Durham.

He is accused of issuing checks from his account that had insufficient funds, police said. The total amount of the checks written out was $2,434.18.

Esparo is charged with three counts of issuing a bad check and larceny in the third degree.

He was released on a promise to appear in Superior Court, Milford on July 9.
