Milford Police: Man Burglarizes a House in Milford

Police said the incident happened around 1:45 a.m.

Milford police said they received a report of a burglary at a Milford Point residence on May 16.

After police arrived, police said the residents found evidence of a person inside their home who had fled with valuables, including cell phones, cash and other personal belongings.

Investigation led to the arrest of Sergio Riccardi, 31, of Bridgeport.

He was located in Bridgeport with the help of the Bridgeport Police Department, and is accused of burglarizing the Milford home, police said.

Riccardi is charged with burglary in the first degree, larceny in the fourth degree, criminal mischief in the third degree and credit card theft, police said.

He is being held in custody under a $75,000 bond, police said.
