Milford P&Z Approve Two Coastal Home Replacements
Construction was approved for the two homes located on Melba Street and James Street.

Milford Planning and Zoning Board approved construction on two replacement homes on coastal area streets at its July 21 meeting, according to the Milford Mirror.
A coastal area management plan from David Salerno of Compass Builders was approved for construction on a single-family residence at 33 Melba St.
The bungalow was purchased on Oct. 21, 2012 for $310,000, the Mirror reports.

Salerno’s plan is to demolish the existing structure and replace it with a 17-foot elevated house with breakaway walls that would allow tidal waves to pass under the house without damage, the Mirror reports.
Antother application for a single-family home at 41 James St. was also approved.
