Milford Restaurant Rallying to Assist Employee Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help pay for medical costs. The woman's injuries were initially labeled by police as life-threatening.

MILFORD, CT — The Bridge House Restaurant in Milford is asking people to support one of their own, Amanda Keane, of Stratford, after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver after leaving work Sunday night.
Milford police are still searching for the hit-and-run driver. Keane suffered significant and serious injuries in the accident.
Bridge House Owner Frank Basile wrote on Facebook, "Please help us do what we can to assist in any financial support for Amanda... She is one of our long time servers at the Bridge House... She has been an absolute anchor since Rob and I have been here. Appreciate the support!!!"

"The extent of her injuries are yet to be known as she is still in intensive care, however she and her loving family will be in need of assistance," the GoFundMe states. "Amanda has been a very hard working loving person that always puts others in front of herself, always helping others...in the work place or at home, she is admired by all. Her chipper and bubbly personality is one of a kind and is extremely contagious. Are prayers go out to her and her family. Please help assist us in supporting Amanda and her family in the time of need."

The accident occurred at 10:45 p.m. in the area of Bridgeport Avenue and Woodland Avenue, police said.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a dark colored sedan was traveling eastbound on Bridgeport Avenue and struck a pedestrian and the vehicle the pedestrian was attempting to get into, police said.
A witness on scene gave statements indicating that after the accident occurred the dark colored sedan fled the scene Eastbound, police said.
The offending vehicle, a dark colored sedan would have damage to its right front head light, bumper, right fender, and missing its passenger side right mirror, police said.
This incident is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Milford Police Department, Traffic Division (203) 878-5244.
