Milford Rotary Sets Date for Annual Lobster Bake

The annual lobster bake is scheduled for Saturday, July 23.

The 40th annual Milford Rotary Lobster bake is set for 3:30-7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 23 at Milford Boat Works, located at 1 Hugh St., rain or shine. A raffle and commemorative T-shirt sale will be featured.
“The Lobster Bake has become a Milford tradition”, states Lobster Bake chair Win Smith. “It provides an opportunity for more people to get together and for the community to learn more about Rotary. This event raises significant funds for Milford Rotary, which are returned to the community through the many scholarships and donations that we make, as well as supporting our regional and international efforts, such as to eradicate polio globally. The Lobster Bake let the community see how much fun we have while putting “Service Above Self.”
Milford Rotarians and their volunteer helpers will serve each guest either two 1.5- pound lobsters or a juicy steak and corn on the cob, cole slaw and all the trimmings including wine, beer and soda. Proof of age is required.
Tickets at $50 each can be purchased online, at Milford Bank on Broad Street, Milford Photo, Marvin Flag on Research Drive and Colony Paint on the Boston Post Road or from any Milford Rotarian. Tickets for children are also available for $5, which includes a hot dog and an ear of corn. No tickets will be sold at the door. Proceeds benefit Milford Rotary charitable endeavors.
We are also looking for volunteers. If you’ve ever thought about joining Rotary or are looking for a way to give back, this is a wonderful way to do so. Contact Win Smith at (203) 882-3351, ext. 25, for details.
