Report: Milford Schools Should Expect Lower Test Scores
Lower scores shouldn't alarm parents or students because they're expected when a new testing curriculum is introduced, a top official said.

Milford Superintendent of Schools, Elizabeth Feser, announced this week that a decline in standardized test scores arriving in August should be expected as result of a new type of test in line with the Common Core state standards, the New Haven Register reports.
The lower scores don’t reflect students’ declining intelligence, but that the test is different and not as familiar, the Register reports.
This shift represents a nationwide movement to ensure students are college- and career-ready by implementing more rigorous and deeper learning standards, the Register reports.
