Obituary: Alexandra S. Yankowski, 29, formerly of Milford
Alex was known as loving, caring, sweet and funny along with having a big heart. She truly cherished her loved ones and her dog, Diesel.

MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Alexandra S. Yankowski, 29, of West Haven, passed away on February 19, 2022. Born on May 18, 1992 in London, England, she was the daughter of Thomas and Fernanda Yankowski and Kathi (Iversen) and Lars Giers. She also was the beloved partner of Josh Parnoff.
Alex was a loving, caring, sweet and funny person with a big heart. She loved taking hikes and walking her dog, Diesel, and had a fond love of books, old and new.
She also loved animals, especially dogs and cats.
Alex graduated from Jonathan Law High School in 2010 and has a BA degree from Southern Connecticut State University.
In addition to her parents and fiancé, Alex is survived by her sister, Karla Yankowski from Raleigh, NC; her dog, Diesel; her two cats, Damien, and Reagan; several aunts and uncles; numerous cousins; and many best friends.
Alex had a special bond with her sister, who will miss her immensely.
The family would like to thank Gaylord Rehabilitation and the Yale Neurology Department and Neuro-ICU for their excellent care of Alex.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. at Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.
Interment will be private. Friends and family may call from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
