Obituary: Barbara Henderson, 88, Of Milford

Barbara P. Henderson, 88, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Peter Henderson, received her wings on April 26, 2023.

She will be greeted at the gates by her parents, C. Tracy and Jennie Pierson, her brother, Calvin, her sister, Beverly, her husband, Peter, and her son, Michael.

She was born on March 15, 1935, in Derby. She was a loving wife and mother. Barbara loved her cat, Oreo and was an avid Mets and NASCAR fan.

She leaves behind her daughter, Sherri Harvey (Lewis) and her granddaughters, Jennifer Mann and Dr. Crystal Harvey; her great-granddaughters, Staci and Kristin Mann; her sister, Carol Jones and several nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to her longtime caregiver, Lisa Volpe, who made Barbara’s life better with companionship, laughter and fun times.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Orange Center Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

The arrangements have been entrusted to The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Ave.
