Obituary: Bruce S. Waldera, 68, of Milford
Bruce, known as kind, giving and selfless, was a true outdoorsman and a longtime mechanic many years for DeMattia Fuel in Westport.

MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Bruce S. Waldera, 68, of Milford beloved husband of Amy Waldera, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 10, 2022. Bruce was born on June 26, 1953 in Norwalk, CT to Clifford and Isabella Waldera.
He attended Ludlowe High School in Fairfield, and met the love of his life, Amy, shortly after. Bruce loved cars and worked as a mechanic most of his life at DeMattia Fuel in Westport.
Bruce was an avid outdoorsman. When he wasn't fishing, hunting, clamming, or crabbing, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends most.
All who were privileged to know Bruce, would say he was the most-kind and giving person they know--selfless to a fault. Over the years, he remained flexible and accommodating for all of his wife's and daughters crazy requests--from sporting events, family trips, and handling last minute changes to the plan.
Although he didn't always prefer these plans, Bruce always showed up for his loved ones and went with the flow anyways. Not only was he an ideal father and friend, but he was a great husband and support to his loving wife.
He loved spending time at the beach, floating around with his "hun", Amy. Throughout their relationship, many commented how much their love for each other always shined.
He is predeceased by both of his parents, and his younger sister Janice. Bruce is survived by his beloved wife Amy, along with his three daughters: Amanda (husband Doug), Allison, and Abbey (husband Blake).
He also leaves behind his two granddaughters--Anna and Ava; as well as his four sisters: Deborah (husband Bill), Wanda, Sandria (husband Pete), and Beverly (husband Tom); and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Bruce's life will be held at the First United Church of Christ Congregational Church, 34 West Main St., Milford, CT, date to be determined.
