Obituary: Christabel T. Overland, 106, of Milford
Christabel, a Senior Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Force, was an avid bowler and volunteered at the Milford Library for many years.

MILFORD, CT - (From Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home) Christabel T. Overland, age 106, of Milford, died on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.
Christabel was born in Highland Falls, NY on November 12, 1914 to the late William and Florence Harlow Overland.
She was a Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Army Air Force for twenty years and served in both WWII and The Korean Conflict. She loved to travel and research her genealogy. She also enjoyed playing scrabble and being on Facebook.

She was an avid reader and volunteered at the Milford Library for many years. She was in three senior bowling leagues and was actively involved in the Milford Senior Center and the former Devon Senior Club.
Christabel was a long time fan of the Boston Red Sox and would never miss a game and after many years got to see them take home the pennant.

Survivors include her nieces: Lorraine Lichtenberger of SC, Nancy Jenkins of WA, Harriet Charland of MA and Cynthia Carroll of NH, and many great, great-great and great-great-great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Christabel is predeceased by her 11 siblings and nieces, Marjorie Dixon and Sharon Sanders. There will be a walk-through visitation on Monday February 22nd from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm in THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.
Please follow current pandemic concerns by wearing a mask and keeping social distance. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford with full military honors being rendered.
