Obituary: Dominick Carl Buccitti, Sr., 81, of Milford

MILFORD, CT - (From Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home) Dominick Carl Buccitti, Sr., age 81, of Milford beloved husband of the late Barbara (Urbanowicz) Buccitti entered peaceful rest on January 22, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Buccitti was born on November 2, 1940, in Bridgeport and was the son of the late Amato and Pasqualina (Santalucia) Buccitti. He worked in research and development for Remington Arms in Bridgeport for over 45 years before his retirement.

Mr. Buccitti is survived by his devoted children, Christine M. Purpora and her fiancé Dave Pierson, Dominick C. Buccitti, Jr. and his wife Michelle all of Milford and Dana C. Elias and her husband Carlos of West Haven and seven grandchildren, Robby Purpora, Richard Purpora and his fiancé Alexis and Matthew Purpora, Dominick C. Buccitti, III and Brianna Buccitti and Aaron Elias and Madysen Elias.

He also leaves two great-granddaughters, Gabriella and Hailey Purpora, and his brother, Ralph Dominick Buccitti of Milford.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, January 27th, 2022, from 10:00 am to 11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:30 at the GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD.

Interment to follow in King’s Highway Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to The Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
