Obituary: George P. Allen Sr., 72, of Milford
He worked as a Game Warden for the City of Milford for many years.

George P. Allen Sr. passed away peacefully on April 17, 2023, at his home in Milford, CT. George was born on February 7, 1951, in New Haven, CT, and was raised by the late Lawrence and Mary Lang. George is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Marjorie.
George served in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. After his service, he became a machinist for Prestige Tools. He also worked as a Game Warden for the City of Milford for many years.

In his free time, he could often be found fishing or boating with his family on warm summer days. He was an avid baseball fan. The N.Y. Yankees were always his favorite team to cheer on. George was a quiet and loyal man with a heart of gold, whose heart beat for his grandchildren. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
In addition to his beloved wife Marjorie, he is survived by their two sons: George Jr (Jamie) of Tewkesbury, MA, and Jon (Julie) of Clinton, CT; four grandchildren: Chloe, Jon Jr., Mackenzie, Charlotte, and his beloved Scottish terrier Pippa Louise who was always by his side.
A Memorial Service Gathering will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Cody White Funeral Home (107 Broad St, Milford, CT 06460) from 4 to 7 p.m. Military honors will be held at 6:15 p.m. with a prayer service to follow.
