Obituary: Helen Augustine Malafronte, 95, of Milford
Helen worked many years for the SNET Co. of Bridgeport and was heavily involved in the community.
MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Helen Augustine Malafronte, 95, a resident of Bridgeport for 20 years prior to moving to Milford where she resided for over 50 years, passed away on December 19, 2021.
Born on April 22, 1926 in Heilwood, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nazareno and Assunta (Perelli) Augustine.
Helen retired from SNET Co. of Bridgeport after 27 years of service. Helen belonged to many groups at St. Gabriel Church and was a volunteer at Milford Hospital.
She is survived by her children, Ralph (Nancy) Malafronte, Patricia (Carl) Malota, and Janet (Russ) Sanders. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Helen was the widow of the late Gabriel R. Malafronte and Marshall R. McGuire.
She was also predeceased by her son, John R. Malafronte; seven brothers; and two sisters.
Friends and family may call 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, December 27, 2021 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 BROAD ST., MILFORD, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 p.m. at Saint Gabriel Church (St. Raphael Parish), 26 Broadway, Milford, CT.
Interment will follow at Saint Michael Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Ave., Stratford, CT.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association or The American Cancer Society.
