Jane M. Crowther, 93, of Stratford, CT and Boca Raton, FL, died peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife for 62 years of the late John A. Crowther, Sr. Jane was born in Uniontown, PA on April 27,1930, daughter of the late Sarah Pearl and Michael Medved.

‘Mrs. C’ was employed for 32 years as Teacher and Guidance Counselor with Pupil Personnel Services in the Milford School System.

She was a life member of The Association of Retired Teachers and Order of the Eastern Star, Pyremus Temple, Daughter of the Nile, and engaged in various volunteer services and charities in FL and CT. She enjoyed traveling, entertaining, literature, knitting and other activities, especially those with her family.

Jane was a lovely woman with a great sense of style, a gentle love and a strong will. She performed her matriarchal position with elegance, grace, dignity and above all…love. The love she gave and the values she taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Her beautiful life will be cherished in the lives of her children.

She is survived by her devoted son John Crowther Jr. and his wife Jayne of NH and her loving daughter Sandra Lefebvre of Stratford, her outstanding grandchildren John H. Crowther and wife Kristen of Glastenbury, Geoffrey Crowther and wife Emily of MI, Gregory Lefebvre and wife Sarah of Cheshire, Kristin Glynn and husband Brian of Stamford and Hunter Lemay of Stratford, and cherished great-grandchildren Noah, Emily and Liliana Lefebvre, Samuel and Benjamin Crowther and Addison and Marley Glynn.

Services and interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions, in Jane’s honor, may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or the charity of your choice.
