Obituary: Janet Sparks, 77, of Milford
Janet previously served as president of the Catholic War Veteran Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, reading and knitting.
MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Janet Sparks, 77, of Milford, beloved wife of 55 years to James L. Sparks, Jr., passed away peacefully at home on January 19, 2022. Born on July 12, 1944 in Birmingham, England, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Clara Garrington.
Janet enjoyed bowling, bingo, reading and in her earlier days, knitting. She was the past president of the Catholic War Veteran Auxiliary.
She and her husband, James, enjoyed traveling and going on cruises together.
Along with her husband, Janet leaves behind her children, Jennifer (Thomas) Esposito and James F. Sparks; grandson, Kyle Pysz; brother, John Garrington; and multiple nieces, cousins, and friends.
She was predeceased by her sisters-in-law, Kathy Garrington and Sharron Jones Sparks.
Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.
A Funeral Service will conclude the gathering at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
